傳說英俊瀟灑的少年海新瑟斯和太陽神阿波羅是好朋友，而西風之神傑佛瑞斯
也喜歡海新瑟斯，偏偏海新瑟斯喜歡阿波羅，所以傑佛瑞斯常為此生醋意。

血，落在地面上並流進草叢裡。


不久之後，草叢間竟開出串串的紫色花朵，這就是風信子。


紫色風信子表示妒忌。


在英國人的習俗中，新娘的捧花或飾花大多喜歡參雜一些藍色的風信子，因為
這表示「貞操潔白」。故藍色的風信子表示「貞操」。


白色風信子：恬適、沈靜的愛、不敢表露的愛、保守得可愛

紅色風信子：你的愛充滿在我心中

黃色風信子：幸福、美滿、與你相伴很幸福

粉紅色風信子：傾慕、浪漫

桃紅風信子：希望獲得芳心
